FAQ

How do I get to the Étrange Carnaval?

To get to the right place, you can use Place d’Armes as your arrival point. If you’re planning to use public transport, use the RTC website to plan your route.

Parking spaces are limited in Old Quebec. That’s why we recommend you get there on foot, by bike or by public transport. If you’d like to get there by car, you’ll have the option of parking in one of the two public parking lots, Parking D’Youville and Parking de l’Hôtel de Ville, or in front of a parking meter located on the streets. There is a charge for parking.
Access to the Étrange Carnaval is completely free! Come one, come all and enjoy our carnival-style performances and games of skill!
There are various kiosks offering food and drink on the Strange Carnival site. Payment can be made by cash or card.
In the event of rain, event activities will take place as far as possible. Some performances may be cancelled, but the rest of the program will be maintained. Who hasn’t celebrated Halloween in the rain?
A Family Stop is set up on the Festival site. Follow the signs on the premises or ask a member of our team for directions. Crafts and coloring will be available on site. There will also be more private spaces for breastfeeding and changing your baby.
If you have any questions, you can visit one of the two reception kiosks. A member of our team will be happy to answer your questions! You’ll find them at the intersection of Rue du Trésor and Rue Sainte-Anne, near the Place d’Armes parking lot of Holy Trinity Cathedral.
You can use the map on our website to plan your route. Alternatively, take a stroll around the neighbourhood, looking for the pastilles in the shop windows; these businesses will have treats for you! Take the opportunity to explore Old Quebec and get to know its merchants!
Although it is not mandatory, it is highly recommended to attend the event in costume! This will be the best place to take photos of your costumes and share them on social networks…by identifying us of course!

Simply download the Parcours Ludiques app on your cell phone, then follow the instructions on the app! The starting point is Place d’Armes, on the event site.
