🚗 How do I get to the Strange Carnival?

To get to the right place, you can use the Jardins de l'Hôtel-de-Ville as your arrival point. If you plan to use public transport, use the RTC website to plan your route.

🅿️ Where can I park my car?

Parking is limited in Old Quebec. We recommend getting there on foot, by bike, or by public transit. If you'd like to drive, you can park your car in one of two public parking lots: the D'Youville parking lot and the City Hall parking lot, or at a parking meter located on the streets. These lots are paid.

💰 Is the event paid?

Admission to the Strange Carnival is completely free! Come in large numbers and enjoy the various roaming performances and our carnival skill games!

Some activities in the Partner Programming section require a ticket or entry fee.

🌭🍬 Will there be food for sale at the festival site?

There are various kiosks offering food and drinks on the Strange Carnival grounds. Payments can be made by cash or card.

🌧️ What happens if it rains?

In case of rain, event activities will take place where possible. Some performances may be canceled, but the rest of the program will continue. Who hasn't celebrated Halloween in the rain?

🏠 Will there be an indoor space for families?

A Family Rest Area is set up on the Festival grounds, near the reception kiosk in the City Hall Gardens. There will be areas for breastfeeding and changing your child.

ℹ️ How can I get information on site during the event?

You can visit one of the two reception kiosks if you have any questions. A member of our team will be happy to answer them!

🍬 How to get free candy?

You can consult the map available on our website to plan your route. Alternatively, you can also walk around the neighborhood looking for stickers in the windows; these businesses will have treats to give you! Take the opportunity to explore Old Quebec and get to know its merchants!

🎭 Do I have to come in costume?


Costumes are encouraged, but not required! This is the perfect opportunity to take photos of your costumes in a unique setting and share them on social media with #etrangecarnaval

🚻 Where are the nearest restrooms?

The nearest public restrooms are located in the City Hall Gardens. Don't hesitate to ask a team member for directions!
